Job Summary
Install signs, guard rails, barriers, and other safety systems; set up, install, and service traffic equipment (message boards, traffic lights, arrow boards); use hand power tools and perform installations safely; load/unload materials from trucks; perform preventative maintenance on trucks; complete paperwork and coordinate with Project Coordinators; safely direct motorist and pedestrian traffic; maintain professionalism with the public; assist in yard organization and lead toolbox/onsite safety meetings; seasonal role with potential to transition to full-time; requires at least 1 year of construction experience, valid driver’s license with clean record, and ability to pass drug/alcohol testing; preferred Flagger training and Construction Safety Training certification; flexible schedules and strong communication skills desired.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction experience
- Valid provincial driver's license and clean driver's abstract and own means of transportation to and from work
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
- Preferably, valid Flagger training certificate
- Preferably, current Construction Safety Training certification
- Ability to work flexible schedules
- Ability to communicate with project team members to ensure tasks are executed in a timely manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
