Job Summary
Monitor daily inspection team activities, evaluate work quality, and provide feedback to Project Coordinators. Ensure proper handling of non-conforming, rejected, and scrap materials while coordinating with logistics teams for efficient material flow. Conduct or support layered process audits, analyze scrap data to identify process improvement opportunities, and assist with inspection reporting and documentation. Maintain compliance with customer requirements and quality standards, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, while adhering to safety protocols involving standing, lifting, and exposure to production equipment. This role supports production efficiency within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, offering a pathway for candidates with quality or inspection experience to grow into leadership positions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Familiarity with calibration, inspection tools, and quality processes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with reporting and data tracking
- Understanding of quality systems and documentation
- Technical writing and documentation skills
- Requires standing for extended periods
- Lifting as needed
- Must follow all safety protocols including eye and hearing protection
Desired Qualifications
- Technical training
- Experience in manufacturing, quality, or inspection
- Previous inspection lead or team support experience
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
