Job Summary
Conduct detailed visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products for the Oil & Gas and Aerospace sectors. Verify product conformity against engineering drawings, AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer specifications while maintaining accurate inspection records and traceability documentation. Identify and report non-conforming products to support containment and corrective actions, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures. Maintain calibrated inspection equipment and collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a quality inspection, manufacturing, machining, aerospace, oil & gas, or engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection documentation.
- Ability to use common metrology equipment such as micrometers, verniers, thread gauges, Go/No Go gauges etc.
- Knowledge of quality standards, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Understanding of material certification, traceability, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience of material handling, utilizing lifting equipment and overhead cranes.
- Reliable, responsive, organised, and capable of managing priorities to meet operational deadlines.
