Job Summary
Inspect and monitor civil engineering construction projects (roads, bridges, utilities, drainage) as on-site Resident Project Representative, providing daily inspection reports, managing contract pay estimates and change orders, ensuring work aligns with plans and INDOT standards, performing material testing (asphalt, soils, concrete), coordinating utility relocations, and serving as liaison between contractor, design firm, project owner, and public; lead and participate in progress coordination meetings and public meetings; promote budget control and project alignment with specifications; opportunities for hands-on learning and growth in a collaborative, safety-conscious environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering or a high school diploma with related work experience in transportation inspection.
- Five (5) years of relevant, progressive experience in the civil engineering or construction management industry for supervisor role; Two (2) years of relevant experience in the civil engineering or construction management industry for inspector role.
- Successful completion or actively seeking completion of the six INDOT Certified Technician exams.
- Ability to travel up to 100 miles per day.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong ability to work with a team.
