Job Summary
Document all test and production data on required forms, tags, and computer systems while monitoring and recording production from the iFix system to assign proper rod grades. Inspect and test wire during and after production to ensure it meets industry standards, cutting samples for customers as specified. Issue stop tags prohibiting wire from being used or sold if it fails specifications and complete machine checks on assigned equipment. Maintain work areas to 5S standards, perform pre-operation safety inspections, and report quality issues immediately to supervisors. Rotate on a set frequency within your workgroup to maintain skill proficiency and cross-train on equipment. Work a 6p-6a shift in a prefabricated building environment without climate control, lifting up to 45 lbs and standing for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Knowledge/experience using SAP, Advaris, and Shopfloor
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- Ability to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in hot and cold environments normally found in a prefabricated building without climate-control
