Job Summary
The Inspector, QA performs quality raw material receiving, work in-process, and end item inspection at defined points of inspection. Responsibilities include obtaining random samples from incoming materials and evaluating conformance to specifications; performing routine checks, tests, gauging and instrument inspections of materials and finished goods; assisting in writing procedures, work instructions and inspection report forms for the area of expertise; obtaining random samples from outgoing pallets of finished product and verifying with laboratory instruments that samples meet company quality standards and customer color code standards; collecting pertinent data to ensure processes stay within tolerance levels; conducting required testing procedures as outlined by customer specifications; and entering data into usable programs for management review. Location: Hazlehurst, MS; Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:15pm to 11:45pm.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- knowledge and experience with test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, scales, protractors, tape measures, etc.
- Must be able to read and interpret contracts
- Must be able to analyze data to detect trends and communicate them to management
- Must be able to communicate with manager and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner
