Job Summary
Conduct Property Condition Assessment (PCA) inspections independently and as part of teams to evaluate the physical condition of properties. Consult with other EC field Inspectors performing PCAs and ensure timely completion of high-quality PCA reports. Identify and evaluate proactive opportunities, such as energy efficiency enhancements, alongside reactive condition assessments. Maintain valid Driver's License and reside locally in the Metro DC Area (DC/VA/MD) for this on-call, 1099 position requiring fewer than 30 hours per month. Work within the Environmental Consulting Department of DFM Development Services, a local firm providing red tape consulting to the Real Estate Development and AEC industry.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience of performing various types of PCA inspections
- Ability to organize information to run an inspection program
- Strong report writing and client communications skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must have valid Driver's License
- Must reside locally in the Metro DC Area (DC/VA/MD)
- Employee must be physically fit to perform duties in all types of environments and conditions
- Regularly required to walk and stand
- Must be able to use hands to fingers, hands or feel and verbally communicate and listen
- Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
