Job Summary
Conduct sampling, pipeline transfers, inventories, and barge inspections including line condition surveys. Perform vessel inspections under direct supervision of a Senior Inspector and certify that field assignments conform to company policies and job-specific instructions. Act as a company field representative by maintaining regular contact with the Operations Department, terminals, and vessels to receive work orders and avoid delays. Obtain, label, and transport samples to the laboratory; measure products and perform field calculations per API Standards to complete documentation and submit reports. Maintain assigned inspection equipment in good working order, ensuring proper calibration and storage. Perform specialized services such as loss control, wall washings, or confined space entry upon receiving required training and assist in training Probationary and Junior Inspectors. Work outdoors in full PPE with potential exposure to extreme temperatures, lifting up to 45 lbs over various durations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- good math skills
- minimum three months of inspection experience
- Inspector level training
- pass corresponding theoretical tests
- pass field evaluations
- IFIA certification
- at least six months of industry experience
- valid Transportation Worker's Identification Card (TWIC)
- vehicle in good working order
- valid driver's license
