Inspector - Petroleum II

Petroleum Inspector II performs sampling, pipeline transfers, inventories and barge inspections including line condition surveys and vessel inspections under the supervision of a Senior Inspector. Acts as the field representative ensuring compliance with company policies and job instructions, maintains professional relationships with clients, and communicates effectively with Operations, terminals and vessels. Responsibilities include obtaining, labeling, transporting samples to the laboratory, maintaining inspection equipment, taking field measurements per API standards, completing field documentation, and submitting reports. Requires training to Inspector level and certification (IFIA) after initial experience; TWIC and valid driver’s license with vehicle; able to work long hours outdoors in PPE with varying conditions; capable of independent work and meeting customer/site requirements. Fitness for duty and physical demands are outlined, with safety and calibration activities, plus potential guidance to Probationary and Junior Inspectors.
