Job Summary
Pack products into containers and seal, label, and prepare them for shipping or storage. Inspect materials and containers, identify defects, and report issues to supervisors while ensuring all products meet quality standards. Operate or assist with machinery such as conveyors, start and stop equipment, and maintain an organized workspace. Adhere to workplace safety rules, wear PPE, and report hazards in this fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requires standing for long periods, repetitive hand tasks, and moderate to high noise exposure. High school education and basic math skills are needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school / Grade 10 level education
- Little to some experience (0–1 year) in manufacturing/packaging
- Reading and understanding simple instructions
- Basic writing/communication
- Simple math (add, subtract, count, measure)
- Follow instructions and procedures
- Use common sense in routine situations
- Pay attention to detail
- Standing for long periods
- Using hands for repetitive tasks
- Light to moderate weight (up to ~50 lbs.)
- Walking, reaching, handling objects
- Close vision required
- Manufacturing/production setting
- Exposure to noise (moderate to high) and fumes or particles (in some cases)
- Fast-paced, production-driven environment
