Job Summary
Pack products into containers and seal/label packages while inspecting materials to ensure quality standards. Operate or monitor machinery such as conveyors, start/stop equipment, and report defects or hazards immediately. Maintain organized workspaces, keep areas clean, and document all activities. Adhere strictly to workplace safety rules, wear PPE, and follow food safety protocols in this fast-paced manufacturing environment. Stand for long periods and handle items up to 50 lbs. This role supports Pretium Packaging's commitment to food safety and site safety across the B Shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school / Grade 10 level education
- Little to some experience (0–1 year) in manufacturing/packaging
- Reading and understanding simple instructions
- Basic writing/communication
- Simple math (add, subtract, count, measure)
- Follow instructions and procedures
- Use common sense in routine situations
- Pay attention to detail
- Standing for long periods
- Using hands for repetitive tasks
- Light to moderate weight (up to ~50 lbs.)
- Walking, reaching, handling objects
- Close vision required
- Manufacturing/production setting
- Exposure to noise (moderate to high) and fumes or particles (in some cases)
- Fast-paced, production-driven environment
