Job Summary
Pack products into containers, seal and label packages, and prepare items for shipping or storage. Inspect materials and containers, identify defects, and report issues to supervisors. Operate or monitor machinery such as conveyors, start and stop equipment, and maintain an organized workspace. Adhere to workplace safety rules, wear PPE, and follow food safety protocols while meeting production goals. The role requires standing for long periods, handling objects up to 50 lbs, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with potential exposure to noise and fumes. Required Qualifications
- High school / Grade 10 level education
- Little to some experience (0–1 year) in manufacturing/packaging
- Reading and understanding simple instructions
- Basic writing/communication
- Simple math (add, subtract, count, measure)
- Follow instructions and procedures
- Use common sense in routine situations
- Pay attention to detail
- Standing for long periods
- Using hands for repetitive tasks
- Light to moderate weight (up to ~50 lbs.)
- Walking, reaching, handling objects
- Close vision required
- Manufacturing/production setting
- Exposure to noise (moderate to high) and fumes or particles (in some cases)
- Fast-paced, production-driven environment
