Job Summary
Read packaging documents and observe machine operations to ensure product conformity to standards. Remove finished items, separate rejects, and stop or reset machines during malfunctions or jams. Stock supplies like wrapping paper and boxes, clean damaged materials, and monitor lines for hazards or pile-ups. Stack finished products, apply protective stretch wrap, and pack items into cartons or containers at specific rates. Assemble shipping containers, trays, and boxes, then perform final inspections for defects such as de-nesting or improper stack height. Record operational data on finished and rejected items while identifying and categorizing defects.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
- Ability to see details at close range
- Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
- Ability to make precisely coordinated movement of both arms, hands, and fingers to grasp, manipulate, or assemble small objects
- Ability to quickly and repeatedly bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with your body, arms, and/or legs
- Ability to make fast, simple, repeated movement of the fingers, hands, and wrists
- Oral Comprehension
- Written Comprehension
- Ability to identify or detect differences among product such as flash, mold, contamination, under fill, etc.
- Ability to quickly and accurately compare similarities and differences among product
- Ability to load/unload, or stack products
