Job Summary
Inspect products for conformance to specifications and label/pack items accordingly. Make boxes with appropriate labels, transfer product using packing forks or similar tools, use gauges to check dimensions, discard nonconforming product, seal containers and place on skid, and perform duties safely. Maintain communication with supervisors and peers, work independently while managing multiple tasks, and gain product-specific quality knowledge during training. Overtime may be required. Strong emphasis on quality, reliability, and effective teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
- Manual dexterity with the ability to use both hands for packing and be able to stand and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to relate well to others and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
