Job Summary
Pack products into containers and seal labeled packages while inspecting materials to ensure they meet quality standards. Operate or monitor machinery such as conveyors, start and stop equipment, and keep the workspace organized. Identify and report defects, communicate issues to supervisors, and maintain clean work areas. Adhere to workplace safety rules, wear protective equipment, and follow all procedures in this fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports food safety and site safety goals at Pretium Packaging.
Required Qualifications
- High school / Grade 10 level education
- Little to some experience (0–1 year) in manufacturing/packaging
- Reading and understanding simple instructions
- Basic writing/communication
- Simple math (add, subtract, count, measure)
- Follow instructions and procedures
- Use common sense in routine situations
- Pay attention to detail
- Standing for long periods
- Using hands for repetitive tasks
- Light to moderate weight (up to ~50 lbs.)
- Walking, reaching, handling objects
- Close vision required
- Manufacturing/production setting
- Exposure to noise (moderate to high) and fumes or particles (in some cases)
- Fast-paced, production-driven environment
