Inspector, OSP Construction

Job Summary
Oversee the construction and installation of outside plant facilities for telecommunications networks, ensuring all work meets OSHA safety standards, industry specifications, and current network designs. Perform quality control inspections to verify compliance, identify and resolve construction issues, and confirm that crews are properly identified with required PPE, vests, and ID badges. Work closely with contractors and stakeholders to keep projects on time, within budget, and respectful of private property. Maintain accurate records of all activities and provide regular progress reports to management. Communicate with peers and departments to ensure proper project planning. This role requires daily outdoor work in various weather conditions, lifting up to 20 pounds, and driving up to 30% of the time within a 10-mile radius.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience or training in OSP construction and installation
- Knowledge of industry standards and specifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, or wind
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds as needed
- Ability to tolerate exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and uneven or slippery surfaces
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) during all applicable tasks
- Standard daily travel to assigned territories (up to 30% of the time within a 10-mile radius)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
