Job Summary
The Mechanical Inspector will read and interpret work orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints to determine inspection/test procedures and will use CMMs, Verisurf, and MBD-based methods to verify conformance of aircraft parts and precision machined components. Responsibilities include testing and measuring finished products, recording results, determining acceptance or rejection, communicating inspection findings, maintaining inspection records and supplier quality information, and supporting manufacturing operations with corrective actions and data-driven reports. The role requires 5+ years of aerospace/electronics inspection experience, proficiency with CMMs and related tooling, and familiarity with ISO quality systems; a hybrid work arrangement with some WFH is available.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- CMM’s or Articulated portable CMMs and MBD (Model Based Definition) inspection
- 5+ years of related Quality Engineering and Inspection experience in electronics, aerospace, or similar environment with a quality system such as ISO
- Proficient with Verisurf, MBD/DPD, Mastercam X7 CAD/CAM and Shoptech E2 or similar ERP platform
- Proficient with calibration and use of a variety of inspection tools and equipment
- Proficiency with MITUTOYO B-231 Coordinate Measuring Machine, ROMER ARM mobile inspection, WILSON Hardness Machine “Rockwell”
