Job Summary
Execute physical inspection of product to assure conformance using various equipment and statistical sampling plans. Interpret control methods during process audits, apply visual standards, and maintain inspection equipment while entering records in written and electronic form. Provide unbiased product disposition based on established quality requirements and convey information on observed trends. Balance workload using the schedule to make sound decisions and seek additional guidance when necessary. Perform duties independently per standard work processes, including lifting between 25-50 pounds and moving throughout the shop floor. Work the 2nd shift in Strongsville, Ohio, with a focus on maintaining performance objectives on standard work processes.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of manufacturing prints and product / process specifications
- Strong math skills
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to pass vision acuity test with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift on a regular basis between 25 - 35 pounds and occasionally between 35 - 50 pounds
- Demonstrate manual dexterity required to properly handle products and gages
- Able to move throughout the shop floor to gather samples, move parts, etc
- Some standing, squatting, kneeling, bending, and twisting is required
- Willingness to work in enclosed/confined spaces (clean room)
