Job Summary
The Inspector role involves mechanical, visual, and first article inspections of precision machined parts and assemblies, ensuring compliance with specifications and test procedures. Candidates should possess significant experience in mechanical inspection, especially within military standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in mechanical inspection or related experience and/or equivalent training
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and One year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent training
- Must have good working knowledge of military and commercial specifications, particularly ASME Y14.5M
- Capable of reviewing and interpreting vendor material and process certifications for compliance
- Well versed with standard inspection measuring equipment and operation of CMM (3 axis measuring machine)
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures
Desired Qualifications
- ASQ Mechanical Inspector professional certification preferred
- Experience in Military/Aerospace Industry is a must
- Machine shop experience preferred
