Job Summary
Inspect parts using handheld M&TE and visual techniques, comparing samples to manufacturing orders and work instructions. Accept or reject parts based on quality plans and process them physically and electronically via Vaupell software to generate NCRs. Create inspection records, perform first part buy-offs and in-process inspections on the molding floor, and conduct receiving inspections for purchased goods. Assist with internal audits, first article inspections, and training new team members on quality standards. Suggest improvements to QA processes and maintain accurate QA part samples. Work Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 10:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well individually or within a team
- Ability to read/write in English
- Ability to read aerospace drawings, blueprints and specifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Basic Math, problem solving & computer skills
- Great attention to detail
- Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Knows when to seek clarification on problems
- Willingness to train other inspectors
- 1 year relevant work experience
- Must be able to remain standing/walking through most of shift
- Distance Vision: 20/25
- Vision at 14 Inches: Jaeger Number 2
