Job Summary
Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods to ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations. Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and other materials, while measuring dimensions and verifying level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades, and pavement. Gather and maintain record documents, make field notes, and perform computations. Work in the field performing bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed, including exposure to heat, cold, wet, humid, and dry conditions. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-4 years of construction inspection experience, and an active driver's license. Associate's or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted for experience)
- 1-4 years of Construction Inspection Experience
- Active driver's license
- Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed
- Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification
