Job Summary
Review plans, site layouts, and specifications to ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations. Measure dimensions, verify levels and elevations, and review routine tests for concrete, soils, and water pressure accuracy. Produce daily field reports, maintain record documents, and photo document construction progress while reviewing surveying stakeouts and contractor pay applications. Conduct inspections in the field involving bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs under various weather conditions. Requires 1-4 years of construction inspection experience; sponsorship not available except for TN visa.
Required Qualifications
- Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
- 1-4 years of Construction Inspection Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted for experience)
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Water/Wastewater construction or inspection experience
