Job Summary
Inspect daily construction progress to ensure compliance with design requirements, technical specifications, building codes, and applicable regulations. Verify contractor and subcontractor work against quality, safety, and contractual standards while monitoring occupational health and safety norms to identify and recommend corrective actions for potential risks. Document inspection findings, deviations, and deficiencies through technical reports and maintain updated records of inspections, photographs, and project logs for audits. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and suppliers to align project scope and schedule, and evaluate work progress for partial payment certifications. Interpret plans and specifications, verify permit validity with regulatory agencies, and recommend process improvements for efficiency. Serve as the technical liaison between the organization and stakeholders, providing engineering advice and ensuring adherence to federal, state, and municipal policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachillerato en Ingeniería Civil, Ingeniería Mecánica, Ingeniería Eléctrica o disciplina relacionada, de una institución acreditada
- Licencia vigente como Ingeniero otorgada por el Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Puerto Rico y autorización para ejercer la profesión en Puerto Rico
- Certificación vigente de colegiación y cumplimiento con los requisitos de educación continua aplicables
- Mínimo de tres (3) a cinco (5) años de experiencia en inspección, supervisión o administración de proyectos de construcción
- Experiencia en la interpretación de planos, especificaciones técnicas, estimados de costos y cronogramas de construcción
