Job Summary
Conduct in-process and final dimensional and visual inspection of parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, gages, and other measurement tools. Read and interpret blue prints and customer specifications, then complete necessary paperwork for inspection processes. Cross-train into other inspection methods including CMM and Whitelight when applicable while performing daily housekeeping and 6S duties. This entry-level role at Danville Metal Stamping Co., Inc. requires lifting up to 50lbs and standing/walking frequently. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $17.00/hour with a $.80/hr increase after 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Frequently required to stand and walk and occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently required to use hands to handle, feel, and reach
Desired Qualifications
- Previous inspection and/or manufacturing process experience is preferred
- Demonstrated ability with trigonometry/geometry and basic math skills
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills is preferred
