Job Summary
Lead and support inspection activities within the business unit while monitoring inspector qualifications, certifications, and ongoing competency. Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, customer requirements, and company procedures by providing technical guidance and coaching to Quality Inspectors. Work closely with Production Cell Leaders to coordinate inspection activities, review documentation for accuracy, and support certification of inspection personnel. Participate in internal audits, investigations, and corrective actions to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Act as a subject matter expert on inspection requirements and regulatory compliance while promoting Safety Management System principles. Requires 6–10 years of aviation quality inspection experience, including gas turbine engine inspection and MRO environments.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in aviation Quality Inspection
- Thorough knowledge of aviation regulations and airworthiness certification requirements
- Strong understanding of inspection procedures, quality systems and OEM manuals
- Experience with gas turbine engine inspection
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Good computer skills and familiarity with production and quality systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coach and support colleagues
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferably supplemented with relevant technical or aviation training
- Approximately 6–10 years of relevant aviation quality inspection experience
