Job Summary
Conduct daily inspections for quality, safety, and compliance with approved plans and specifications on a new boiler building project in Brooklyn, NY. Monitor contractor performance, schedule, and safety while managing material testing and reporting protocols. Serve as the primary liaison between NYCHA stakeholders, contractors, and internal staff to coordinate activities and resolve project issues. Ensure timely delivery of daily inspection reports and assist with contractor payment processes and permit condition compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years or more of experience
- at least 2 years of construction inspection experience specifically for NYC Metro Public agencies
- Experience with construction inspection activities on construction projects for medium to larger sized facilities
- OSHA 10 Construction Safety Training
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction or a related field of study
- Associate degree in Construction Management or Engineering Technology
- NYS Asbestos Project Monitor Certification
- OSHA 30 Construction Safety Training
- Confined Space Entry Training
- 4-hour scaffold safety training
- AWS or NICET certification
- Able to use basic functions of construction software document management applications such as eBuilder and the MS Office Suite (particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
