Job Summary
Oversee contractor work on demolition, renovation, and new construction projects to ensure compliance with contract specifications, codes, and regulations. Inspect all activities, document work quality and progress, and maintain detailed inspection records. Resolve access issues, investigate critical incidents, and recommend corrective actions or remedial repairs. Prepare daily operation reports and various documentation on construction progress. This full-time onsite role in Memphis, TN requires 5+ years of construction inspection experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the inspection of construction work related to demolition, renovation, and new construction
- Strong working knowledgeable of construction practices and techniques
- Thorough knowledge of materials and equipment related to construction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Knowledge of construction principles and standard building practices
- Ability to competently read and understand blueprints and construction details
- Ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands
- Maintain the highest commitment to safety
- Read, interpret, understand, and apply standards and procedures applicable to Local, State, and Federal rules and regulations
- Communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written forms
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to walk, sit, bend, stoop, and stand while carrying items
- Must be able to carry, push, pull, or lift items
- Must be available for full-time onsite work in Memphis, TN at various project locations
