Job Summary
Construction Inspector (QA/QC) on interior/exterior projects across architectural, structural, civil, and MEP disciplines. Responsible for on-site inspection, ensuring D/B contractor QC program adherence, reviewing contract submittals for conformance, and daily QA reporting. Develop project QA plans with inspection, testing and reporting procedures; monitor corrective actions by contractors; prepare daily QA reports and submit within 48 hours; participate in pre-construction meetings; coordinate with federal points of contact; lead meetings to verify materials and submittals on-site; conduct QA inspections and support government cost estimates; manage documentation and site records; may require nights/weekends as schedules dictate. Requires a four-year degree in CM/engineering/architecture or related field and 5+ years in construction inspection; OSHA/OSHA-related certifications, EIT/CMIT preferred, ability to obtain security clearance. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience as a construction inspector
- USACE CQM certification preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification
- Ability to obtain HSPD-12 security clearance
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Strong communication skills
- Davis Bacon Wage act familiarity
- Experience with reviewing drawings and submittals
- Experience in QA inspections across Architectural/Structural/Civil/MEP
- Safety practices knowledge (OSHA)
- Contractor payment review experience
- Willingness to work nights/weekends
- Physical ability to perform field inspections
