Job Summary
Perform detailed field inspections on highway and bridge construction projects and maintain comprehensive inspection records for As-Built documentation. Serve as the technical expert in field inspections and audits, review and interpret project plans, monitor compliance with standards and safety protocols, maintain reports and documentation, conduct material testing and field measurements, collaborate with contractors and project managers, participate in punch lists and project meetings, provide on-the-job training, and travel throughout New Jersey to support multiple project sites. Requires HS with 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and experience with highway construction inspections (NJDOT/NJTA). Preferred NICET certifications and proficiency with construction software; ability to work outdoors and overtime as needed. Sponsorship and relocation are not available.
Required Qualifications
- HS +6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Experience in highway construction inspection, including NJDOT and NJTA projects
- Able to wear and work in personal protective equipment such hard hat, safety vest, work boots, safety glasses/goggles, gloves and mask

Desired Qualifications
- NICET Level 2 or Level 3 Certification in Highway Construction Inspection
- Strong understanding of highway and bridge construction processes, materials, and safety protocols
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- Proficiency in construction-related software (such as SiteManager, AASHTOWare, Capex or similar) is a plus
- Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills for project coordination
