Job Summary
Conduct visual and functional inspections of aircraft and components during all maintenance phases, identifying defects in engine performance, hydraulics, electrical systems, and flight controls. Execute weight and balance operations, perform receiving inspections for new parts, and evaluate work performed by maintenance technicians to ensure compliance with technical data and FAA regulations. Complete logbook entries, oversee aircraft handling activities including fueling and towing, and release products for return to service after verifying all inspection records are properly executed. Perform duties under the supervision of Inspection Leads and Managers while maintaining a safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate
- Thorough understanding of FAA 14 CFR parts 21, 43, 121, 125, and 145
- Five (5) or more years of experience as a technician and/or inspector in a commercial aircraft environment or previously demonstrated competency with AAR
- Language (read, write, speak, and understand English)
- Visual acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected
- Must have full color vision
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolong periods of time, and climb steps, ladders and/or service stands
- Job requires participation in the DOT random drug and alcohol testing program
