Job Summary
HQS Inspections Manager oversees HQS Inspectors and HQS Coordinator, supervises inspection workflows for new and existing units, mentors staff, conducts trainings on HQS/EOHLC requirements, ensures compliance across lead-paint documentation, and manages data entry in YARDI. Collaborates with the Rental Assistance Director to streamline programs, maintains stakeholder relationships (EOHLC, landlords, tenants, RAP Billing, RAFT, Program Reps), and ensures adherence to federal/state funder rules. Requires a Bachelor's (preferred) and HQS certification; 1-2 years of housing program and staff supervision experience; valid Mass. Driver’s License; capacity to work in high-volume, dynamic environments with strong organizational and training skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Nan McKay HQS Certification required
- Minimum 1-2 years housing program experience
- 1-2 years managing staff preferred
- Knowledge of Excel, Windows, Word
- Valid Mass. Driver’s License and insurance
- Ability to work well in a high-volume environment
- Ability to handle potentially stressful situations
- Travel as needed; working conditions include office and field inspections
