Job Summary
Conduct inspections for first pieces, NC program tape proofs, and TMI activities using manual measuring equipment and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Write, update, and maintain CMM inspection programs for in-process operations while visually inspecting machined parts to ensure they meet engineering blueprint specifications and tolerance requirements. Remove burrs, sharp edges, and tool marks from parts, perform routine maintenance on operated machines, and maintain accurate documentation of all inspection and testing activities. Clean and organize cellular manufacturing work areas in accordance with established standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- minimum of one-year of directly related experience in CMM and/or First Article inspections
- experience in tool proofs
- experience in GD&T
- Relevant CMM software experience
- ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- ability to be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation
- eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist
- Must be capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs.
- Must have grip strength of at least 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Metrologic CMM software
