Job Summary
Inspect railcars to create repair estimates via visual inspection and data entry in the BRC system; perform railcar estimating, auditing, billing, data entry, and inventory control; proficiently use AAR field manual and regulatory materials (AAR Interchange Rules, FRA standards); identify parts for material pick lists; interact with customers and outside inspectors; ensure compliance with CFRS and regulatory requirements; wear PPE and complete required training; position requires outdoor/indoor work around heavy equipment and potential overtime; role includes contributing to shop productivity and supporting department objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
