Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment like fork lifts and skid steers, manage inventory for loading and unloading trucks, and direct crews on safe build techniques for festival exteriors. Hang perimeter signage to direct headliners and manage patron flow, or load and unload buses while troubleshooting mechanical issues. Work in loud, busy environments with drastic temperatures, often traveling to events during holidays, evenings, and weekends. Fork lift and CDL certifications are required for equipment roles, while shuttle positions focus on bus logistics. No visa sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- Clean motor vehicle report
- Valid Driver's License
- 18 or older
- Ability to walk long distances for long periods of time, constantly moving and on feet
- Must be able to lift 50+lbs
- Clean and presentable attire (show blacks)
- Motivated with an 'Everything is possible' attitude
- Active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small
- Heavy Equipment certified
- OSHA cert
- Work authorization in the U.S. (does not require sponsorship by Insomniac for a visa)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with fork lifts
- Earth moving equipment and/or CDL certifications and experience
- Experience working on the crew
- Experience in signage or similar departments
- Experience in festival builds or comparable experiences
- Understanding of why and how builds are performed
- Ability to direct the crew in how to safely perform their job
- Ability to work with a fence vendor to mark out fence lines
- Ability to manage inventory for loading and unloading of trucks
- Ability to work with heavy equipment vendors to report maintenance for equipment
- Strong understanding of the local area, patron flow, key points of interest and paths of travel
- Ability to manage the shuttle staff break times
- Ability to check in bus drivers
- Ability to ensure buses are running smoothly
- Ability to troubleshoot any issues as they arrive
- Passion for dance culture
- Love of the transportation and exterior realm
- Ability to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
- Ability to work in drastic temperature climates
- Willingness to frequently travel to work events during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
