Job Summary
Inside Wire & Cable Product & Project Demand Specialist drives forward-looking construction project demand planning and provides wire and cable product support. The role partners with Product, Project Management, and Purchasing to translate backlog into actionable supply plans, deliver pre-sales technical guidance, sizing, BOM development, pricing validation, CRM opportunity support, and customer-facing technical guidance. Responsibilities include maintaining a centralized backlog view, translating demand into supply plans with early vs. delayed purchases, supporting contract/futures pricing concepts, collaborating with Procurement on early purchases and risk mitigation, and applying cross-functional knowledge to optimize planning and execution. Preferred qualifications include expertise in wire/cable products, ERP/CRM experience, Excel proficiency, and experience supporting construction projects or market adoption efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical distribution, construction support, supply chain planning, product support, or related role.
- Experience providing technical or pre-sales support, including specification review, BOM preparation, product sizing, or application assistance.
- Experience cross-functional collaboration with Project Management, Procurement, Sales, or Product teams for execution and planning.
- Basic understanding of pricing concepts, inventory exposure, and supply constraints within a distribution environment.
