Job Summary
Inside Sales Supervisor leads and directs the inside sales team to deliver service excellence for builder accounts and customers. Responsibilities include implementing procedures to optimize service and efficiency, responding to inquiries about products, pricing, and deliveries, initiating sales calls, coordinating purchases and deliveries, inputting orders and pricing data, maintaining stock, handling cash register operations, researching credits and late payments, coordinating with outside sales and jobsites, managing special orders and pricing, developing relationships with customers, resolving jobsite issues, supervising a 4+ person team with budgeting and performance management, and participating in trainings and safety adherence.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of educational prerequisites
- 4-6 years experience in building materials supply specifically within distribution operations and sales support
- 1-3 years supervisory experience in a customer oriented environment
- Demonstrated selling or operations experience
- Hands on experience in building supply, construction or distribution industry
- Knowledge of business management operations including purchasing, sales and personnel management
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity skills
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to read material take-offs, estimates, blueprints, and other such documents
