Job Summary
Inside Sales role focusing on product knowledge for drywall and related building materials. Responsibilities include taking orders at the sales counter and over the phone, building customer relationships, entering orders in the company computer system, completing sales orders and cash tendering, developing product knowledge to assist purchases, collaborating with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to determine strategic approaches, overcoming customer objections, quoting prices, discussing credit terms, and preparing sales orders/reports. Travel not required; position based in the Columbia, SC office with emphasis on office and sales-counter activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 4 year degree preferred
- Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be comfortable meeting the public
- Must be a team player, demonstrate attention to detail and have good organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute and/or delegate as needed, while also collaborating with others to get the job done
- Must be able to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers
