Job Summary
Inside Sales Representative at Wisconsin Building Supply assists with new and existing customer sales and provides product support to outside sales representatives. Responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries regarding product selection, prices, quotations, complaints, and deliveries; initiating calls to generate sales; obtaining and entering orders, returns, and service requests; coordinating purchases and deliveries of special products; obtaining pricing specifications and availability; coordinating schedules with outside sales, jobsites, and customers; maintaining stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom; researching credits and payments; resolving back orders and billing issues; handling special orders and pricing; developing professional relationships with customers; and resolving jobsite issues. Education: High School Diploma or GED; Experience: 1-3 years in building materials and inside sales; Skills: computer, calculator, cash register operation; knowledge of building supplies and construction industry; strong communication and customer relations; inventory control; ability to move around yards, plants, and offices.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of experience in building material industry with basic knowledge of product and application required
- 1-3 years of inside sales experience preferred
- Ability to operate computer, calculator and cash register
- Knowledge of building supplies, applications, related equipment, and/or construction industry
- Good interpersonal and customer relations skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Should be familiar with inventory and inventory control
- Must be able to walk throughout yards, plants and offices
