Job Summary
Inside Sales Representative based in Michigan at Zeeland Lumber & Supply, a division of US LBM, assists with new and existing customer sales and provides product support to outside sales representatives. Responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries about product selection, placing orders, preparing quotes and pricing, coordinating deliveries and installations, entering work orders and service requests, managing stock levels, handling credits/returns, resolving billing issues, developing customer relationships, and supporting pricing and special price lists. Requires coordinating with outside sales and jobsites, maintaining knowledge of building materials and related applications, and maintaining safety and completing trainings as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience in building material industry with basic knowledge of product and application
- 1-3 years of inside sales experience (preferred)
- Ability to operate computer, calculator and cash register
- Knowledge of building supplies, applications, related equipment, and/or construction industry
- Good interpersonal and customer relations skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with inventory and inventory control
- Must be able to walk throughout yards, plants and offices
