Job Summary
Provide prompt, technical information to Life Sciences Customers across Cosmetics, Compounding, Cannabis, Food, and Nutritionals markets. Manage the end-to-end quote generation process, expedite marketing materials, and maintain the CRM database to track established and potential leads. Partner with Account Managers to define strategic sales approaches while researching customer operations, contracts, and manufacturing methods to uncover specific needs. Communicate with internal departments to resolve sales order issues and share emerging industry trends with leadership. Travel overnight up to 20% of the time for this hybrid role in Mentor, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 year of demonstrated history of successful sales performance
- Ability to travel overnight up to 20%
- Current knowledge of relevant pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry subject matter and regulatory requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Science, Engineering or Manufacturing
- Experience and/or educational background in Biology, Chemistry or Microtechnology
- Experience selling technical products/services
- Experience in capital, service, or consumables business
- Ability to learn in collaboration with technical experts internal to STERIS as well as outside the organization
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft systems (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrates solid organizational skills, good judgement, and ability to think analytically
- High sense of urgency
- Positive attitude
- Skilled in persuasion and influence with the ability to negotiate successfully
- Displays active listening skills and aptitude for science based technical information
