Job Summary
Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms while recommending solutions based on their needs. Contact regular and prospective clients to demonstrate features, explain capabilities, and solicit orders, then prepare estimates and bids that meet specific customer requirements. Resolve post-sales or contract issues by consulting with clients and provide ongoing support. Forward orders to manufacturers and perform additional assignments at the direction of the supervisor. This role operates within a professional office environment, requiring standard office equipment use and occasional evening or weekend work as job duties demand.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of sales experience in the Electrical Distribution Industry
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively
- High degree of professionalism
- Strong math skills
- Customer-service driven
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must work 40 hours each week
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Industrial Contractor Sales experience preferred
- College degree(s) preferred
