Job Summary
As an Inside Sales Representative at James River Equipment, you will be responsible for selling machinery to walk-in customers, maintaining product knowledge, monitoring competitive activities, and strengthening sales within key institutional markets. You will assist with equipment displays, conduct new equipment demonstrations, and maintain customer information via a defined sales process. A high school diploma or equivalent work experience is required, along with strong retail sales experience and excellent customer relationship skills.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to identify, develop, and grow new customer accounts
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Ability to work flexible hours with negligible travel to customer sites and demo events
- Excellent customer relationship skills
Desired Qualifications
- Retail sales experience in lawn/garden, tractors, equipment, and compact construction equipment
- Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices
- Experience with Salesforce
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
