Job Summary
The Inside Sales Representative supports the branch sales efforts by selling, quoting, and promoting the building materials program, ensuring prompt and accurate communication with customers on orders and delivery dates. Responsibilities include converting inbound inquiries into sales, overcoming objections, preparing sales orders, making outbound sales calls, developing and maintaining customer relationships, estimating delivery dates based on product knowledge and schedules, resolving customer problems including warranty issues, updating customers on changes to delivery dates, entering new customer data, complying with company policies, communicating product shortages or quality issues, and performing additional duties as assigned. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint, strong customer service, ability to generate solutions, rapid rapport with customers and employees, solid business acumen, and ability to manage multiple projects are required. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
