Job Summary
Inside Sales Representative I at Farwest Steel develops customer requests for distribution quotations and orders, creates quotes, enters orders, provides inventory availability and lead time information, educates customers on Farwest’s depth of services and inventory, communicates processing capabilities to vendors, follows up on quotes and orders, and checks with the credit department for high-dollar or rush orders to ensure accurate order processing and customer success.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Computer experience
- Proficient understanding of blueprints
- Communicate effectively and sell steel products and services
- Professional telephone skills and techniques
- Great listening and recording skills
- Ability to work in a team environment within our company
- Courteous professional conduct required with customers and co-workers
- Able to adapt to different social settings, perform routine office support, understand written and oral instruction, and make accurate mathematical calculations
- Past sales experience
- Past work in steel, construction, manufacturing
