Job Summary
Inside Sales Representative responsible for serving as the primary contact for distribution partners and end-users, guiding customers through Ashland Conveyor’s product catalog (gravity conveyors, powered systems, and various components), tailoring conveyance solutions with engineering collaboration, preparing accurate quotes, processing orders, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Builds and maintains relationships with distributors and direct customers, qualifies leads, coordinates with marketing on outreach, and reports activity to sales management. Requires strong mechanical/technical aptitude, ability to review technical drawings, excellent verbal and written communication, and proficiency with ERP/CRM systems to support sales efforts and cross-functional alignment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered
- Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, inside sales role strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude to understand and explain complex conveyance systems and components
- Experience understanding and reviewing technical drawings a plus
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, ERP systems and CRM software
- Previous experience in material handling or conveyance systems is a significant plus, though not strictly required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
