Job Summary
Inside Sales Rep at United Rentals responsible for proactively increasing branch revenue by renting and selling equipment, servicing a diverse customer base, and supporting in-branch functions including telemarketing, contracts, and customer relations. Responsibilities include establishing rental and sales accounts through telemarketing and call-in customers, processing quotations and invoices, educating customers on equipment usage and safety, coordinating daily equipment pickups/returns, maintaining inventory records, and collaborating with branch staff to deliver customer satisfaction. Qualifications emphasize an Associate’s degree or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred), strong sales and customer service experience, MS Office proficiency, excellent verbal/written communication, engineering aptitude for sizing and installation of large projects, and a valid driver’s license. Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Strong customer service orientation and sales experience/skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Engineering aptitude: ability to properly size, quote, install and maintain large projects that may range from critical sewer by-pass, industrial process cooling, construction and water damage drying, multi-level power distribution at various voltages and large scale climate control projects
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures
