Job Summary
Support daily sales operations of a building materials distribution center by working with customers and co-workers to build solid relationships based on trust and competence. Diagnose problems and provide proven solutions while following up carefully with clients to ensure order fulfillment and preserve relationships. Directly engage with long-term customers daily to finalize and oversee the fulfillment of customer orders, supporting the outside sales team in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous projects.
Required Qualifications
- Inside sales & customer service experience
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) experience
- Strong communication skills
- Detail-oriented and focused; can concentrate on the task at hand for long periods
- Persuasive teaching style to communicate the company's products and services
- Ability to follow established guidelines, structure, and policies, while working with and for others
- Team player who isn't afraid of leading
- Willingness to jump in and roll up your sleeves to help out when necessary
Desired Qualifications
- A few years of inside sales & customer service experience
- Roofing, mechanical, industrial, HVAC, and siding product knowledge, and experience
- Experience in the construction industry
