Job Summary
Counter Sales Representative for heavy-duty parts at Fort Garry Industries. Responsibilities include assisting customers in person and by phone, advising on products and applications, processing pricing, credits, invoicing, and freight for customers and product defects, answering questions about products and availability, assisting with cash and national accounts, completing online training, delivering parts with a company vehicle, and potentially operating a forklift. Emphasis on providing high-quality customer experience, building long-lasting relationships, and meeting customer needs through product knowledge, warranty considerations, and special orders. Includes teamwork, adherence to company procedures, and willingness to engage in special projects.
Required Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience selling heavy-duty parts sales, or a similar industry (Agriculture, Automotive, Trailers) preferred, combined with a high school diploma or other equivalency certificate
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements: Able to lift parts upwards of 50 -75 lbs., use ladders at varying heights, and frequently walk in a large warehouse
- Completion of a parts technician trades program is preferred but not required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
- Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
- Required to work Saturdays and overtime to meet business demands
