Job Summary
The Inside Sales Engineer (ISE) at Ruhrpumpen is the primary owner of the quotation process, preparing timely and accurate customer quotations based on requirements and offering value-added alternatives. The role coordinates with internal RP teams (OSE, product line teams) and external contacts such as sub vendors, utilizes quotation software, and ensures commercial and technical alignment with RP needs. The ISE collaborates to qualify sub vendor offers, understands the customer’s commercial requirements (terms and conditions), and manages multiple quotation tasks across stages from initial quotes to order handoff. Occasional participation in project meetings to define technical and commercial aspects is required. Candidates should have strong communication skills across global teams, knowledge of hydraulics and pump design standards, experience with pump applications in oil & gas, power generation, and water treatment, and a degree in engineering or industrial distribution is preferred; 2+ years of Inside Sales/Applications Engineering experience is advantageous. Location is flexible, with suitable candidates in Milan (Italy), Madrid (Spain), or Gliwice (Poland).
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills are essential with global collaboration
- German language desired but not required
- Proficiency in English (official language)
- Excellent multi-tasking and time management
- In-depth working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, pumps (applications, sizing, mechanical operation)
- Knowledge of pump design standards (API, HI, ANSI, DIN, etc.)
- Experience in pump applications for processes in oil & gas, power generation, water treatment
- Knowledge of pump accessories (electric motors, mechanical seals, etc.)
- Degree in Engineering or Industrial Distribution preferred
- 2+ years Inside Sales/Applications Engineering experience preferred
- Flexible in location with candidate location based on the best fit (Madrid, Milan, Gliwice)
