Job Summary
Inside Sales Representative acts as the main contact for customers, providing product information, pricing, technical support, and order management assistance. Responsibilities include entering, modifying, expediting, releasing, and canceling customer orders; coordinating with engineers to obtain project submittal approvals; preparing quotations using manufacturer and supplier software; assisting with non-warranty return material requests; processing A/R billing issues; collaborating with sales, purchasing, service, warehouse, suppliers, engineers, contractors, end users, and wholesalers; maintaining accurate CRM records of communications and actions; building strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers; monitoring open order reports in the ERP system to ensure timely completion and closure; performing other duties as assigned. The role requires a high school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred), 1-3 months of related experience or equivalent, proficiency with MS Office, experience with ERP/Prophet 21 a plus, and strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills; familiarity with HVAC/plumbing systems and capacity to work in a team-oriented environment is desired.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree in a technical field preferred
- One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet functionality required
- Experience with enterprise software preferred, specifically Prophet 21 by Epicor. Training will be provided as needed
- Strong customer service skills; ability to solve problems with logic and sound judgment
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
